The Trevi Fountain is a fountain in the Trevi district in Rome, designed by Italian architect Nicola Salvi and completed by Pietro Bracci; it is the largest Baroque fountain in the city and one of the most famous fountains in the world. 

The backdrop for the fountain is the Palazzo Poli, given a new façade with a giant order of Corinthian pilasters that link the two main stories. Taming of the waters is the theme of the gigantic scheme that tumbles forward, mixing water and rockwork, and filling the small square. Tritons guide Oceanus’ shell chariot, taming hippocamps.

In the centre a robustly-modelled triumphal arch is superimposed on the palazzo façade. The centre niche or exedra framing Oceanus has free-standing columns for maximal light and shade. In the niches flanking Oceanus, Abundance spills water from her urn and Salubrity holds a cup from which a snake drinks. Above, bas reliefs illustrate the Roman origin of the aqueducts.

The tritons and horses provide symmetrical balance, with the maximum contrast in their mood and poses (by 1730, rococo was already in full bloom in France and Germany).

Coins are purportedly meant to be thrown using the right hand over the left shoulder. This was the theme of 1954’s Three Coins in the Fountain and the Academy Award-winning song by that name which introduced the picture

The Pantheon is a former Roman temple, now a church, on the site of an earlier temple commissioned by Marcus Agrippa during the reign of Augustus (27 BC – 14 AD). The present building was completed by the emperor Hadrian and probably dedicated about 126 AD. He retained Agrippa’s original inscription, which has confused its date of construction as the original Pantheon burnt down so it is not certain when the present one was built.[

It is one of the best-preserved of all Ancient Roman buildings, in large part because it has been in continuous use throughout its history, and since the 7th century, the Pantheon has been used as a church dedicated to «St. Mary and the Martyrs» Santa but informally known as «Santa Maria Rotonda». The square in front of the Pantheon is called Piazza della Rotonda.

Fountain of the Four Rivers is in the center of Piazza Navona and was built in 1651 by Gian Lorenzo Bernini by Pope Innocent X. 

The base of the fountain is a basin from the centre of which travertine rocks rise to support four river gods and above them, an ancient Egyptian obelisk surmounted with the Pamphili family emblem of a dove with an olive twig. Collectively, they represent four major rivers of the four continents through which papal authority had spread: the Nile representing Africa, the Danube representing Europe, the Ganges representing Asia, and the Río de la Plata representing the Americas.

The Fontana dei Quattro Fiumi was unveiled to the populace of Rome on 12 June 1651. According to a report from the time,[6] an event was organised to draw people to the Piazza Navona. Beforehand, wooden scaffolding, overlaid with curtains, had hidden the fountain, though probably not the obelisk, which would have given people an idea that something was being built, but the precise details were unknown. Once unveiled, the full majesty of the fountain would be apparent, which the celebrations were designed to advertise

The lively local market that animates the square has a story that has been ongoing since 1869. The name, Campo de ‘Fiori, probably derives from the meadow of flowers that until the fifteenth century occupied the square. There are important buildings and, for its strategic position,became, as early as the sixteenth century, the site of a rich horses’market that was held twice a week, on Mondays and Saturdays. Around the square were built so many hotels, inns and shops of artisans and became the center of various commercial and cultural activities.In Campo de ‘Fiori  had also place the executions. In particular, 17 February 1600, was burnt alive the philosopher and Dominican friar Giordano Bruno, accused of heresy:for this reason there is  is a bronze monument in his memory in the middle of the square.

Even today, every morning, from Monday to Saturday at t Campo de ‘Fiori there is  the famous market, one of the most typical events of the center of Rome: there are fresh fruits and vegetables, meat, fish, flowers, souvenirs and above all spices, with the famous bags containing powdered seasonings to suit all tastes. The square is also full of bars and restaurants.
